222logo_siae_bi_2_left_900_540-700x420Paris June 19th 2017.- Ninety years ago, Le Bourget airfield was the scene of mass excitement as Charles Lindbergh landed his Spirit of St Louis monoplane after making the first non-stop transatlantic flight between New York and Paris.

Jubilant crowds carried the aviator from the cockpit as they celebrated his almost 34 hour, 3,600 mile flight in the single-engine aircraft.

Crowds at the Paris Airshow, which was first staged at Le Bourget in 1909, are unlikely to be so wild when the 52nd iteration of the event starts yesterday.  Read article here
